common questions

Questions parents ask us every day.

When should my child first see a dentist?

By the first birthday or within six months of the first tooth, whichever comes first. Early visits are short, gentle, and mostly about building comfort.

My child had a cavity. Why didn't you fill it?

Because staging matters. Early lesions can often be arrested or reversed with silver diamine fluoride, sealants, fluoride, and monitoring, sparing the tooth a lifetime of re-treatment.

Are X-rays safe for kids?

Modern digital imaging uses a fraction of the radiation of everyday background exposure, and it finds problems while they are still small. We image on evidence, not on a schedule.

My child is terrified of the dentist. Can you help?

It is what we do best. From tell-show-do to nitrous oxide to full sedation when needed, we match the support to the child. Parents are welcome in the room.
